I am from many places but nowhere specific. My Dad was a career Navy Doctor who took us from Japan, to the Mid-Atlantic states, and back to Japan again before I went to art school. Both of my parents were artists. My Mom collaged, painted, & made jewelry while my Dad made ceramics and collaged too. My Dad gave me my first camera at 6 and when I was 14, he gave me his Nikon. I graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in ’92 with my BFA in Photography and in 2017 from Academy of Art University with my MFA in Photography. I’ve had many different careers since then as a jewelry designer, graphic designer, an “in-house” advertising agency photographer, a “stay-at-home” Mom, freelance photographer, an adjunct photography professor, and a High School Design Teacher.
